Empowering Educators: One Youth Trains Teachers on Debate Coaching and Judging

We recognize that teachers are the backbone of quality education. To strengthen debate education in schools, we launched a specialized Teachers Training Program focused on how to teach and judge debates effectively. 

To ensure top-tier training and global best practices, we are partnering with the Ronald Reagan Foundation and Southern Methodist University. 

These esteemed institutions bring world-class expertise in critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership training, helping us equip teachers with the tools needed to nurture the next generation of skilled debaters.

Since December 2024, we have been hosting bi-monthly training sessions designed to:  

✔️ Teach educators how to structure and facilitate debate sessions in classrooms.

✔️ Train teachers to judge debates fairly and objectively using international standards.

✔️ Empower students with critical thinking, persuasive communication, and leadership skills.

By investing in teachers, we are laying the foundation for a culture of debate excellence in schools across Nigeria. This initiative not only strengthens academic performance but also empowers students to think critically, communicate effectively, and lead confidently.
